[IMG] In my last game, when I fought 'tough' Lizardman king in Dragon's Eye, suddenly some (if not all of) his henchmen joined my side! (they had green circles as if they were summoned or charmed) Why?

Also, what must I do to save Conlan's kid Sheemish? Lasttime I pretty well botched it, the kid was nowhere to be found after talking to him and I could not get reward from Conlan. I do not want this to happen in my current game with only 2 PCs!(it is fun as hell!)

Hope you can help me, I may know lots about BG2 but I am still fairly newbie to IWD.

The lizard men are supposed to do that. I think it's to help you kill the lizard king, then they go back to being enemies.

    Spoilers for Sheemish!

You should clear out the previous level and most of the level Sheemish is in. Talk to him and he should leave on his own. He might want to know if it's safe to leave. You can head back to Kuldahar and find him in his dad's smithy with a nice reward for you! (Trust me; you'll need it!)

^Why do lizardmen rebel against the king? Is it something within the dialogues or just a bug?

I had already killed every monstr in that level, then returned to where Sheemish was. The problem was, he was nowhere to be found! What was the cause of this? Is this another bug, or was I too late? Is there a CLUA code for him? (just like in BG2)

I think the lizardmen revolting is a 'bug'; something that happens. I don't know if it's scripted to happen or done through dialog or what.

As for Sheemish, I don't have a cheat code to bring him in, like BG did. You might have killed him and the other kids with a fireball or something while fighter lizardmen. :( Don't feel bad. I did it myself. Do you have the latest patch? It might help, but I don't know. I found Sheemish when I played and never thought twice about it. Here's where you can find some IWD cheats which might help you more than me.

Thanks, I am pretty sure I did not kill Sheemish by accident. BTW, can children be killed in IWD? For some reason they were immortal in IWD2 (yes I attacked Vandering Village once when I was bored.)

    From Dan Simpson's excellent guide:

Go back south, and continue down the passage past the bridge (the only thing over there are some captive villagers, but with the King dead, they're freed) down through more lizardmen and captives to (x 3155 y 2466) near the very bottom. Go through the right to find the entrance to the next level. As you enter a child will come up to you and give you 30,000 experience for clearing out the monsters.

Note: If you rest in between killing the Lizard King and getting to the captured villagers, they will all leave, and you won't get your experience for freeing them. And sometimes the villagers just die.

I also found by accident that if you have cheats enabled and go all the way down to the very far left bottom corner of the level. Find the area where the body with the note is near a creek. In that area if you make a short "jump" of 2 around there a huge party of lizard men suddenly appear and join you. They stay with you all the way through the rest of the level and help clear the way to the king.

^Oh is that really so? Is it a bug, abuse or cheat? I would rather kill them for XP though. Anyway, thanks for the trick! :thumb:

I think it's a bug. But in just the right spot the 'jump' cheat triggers it. I tried it several different ways and found that if you turn off AI so your main party doesn't do anything right before you meet the King your lizard "henchmen" will fight for you without turning at the end. What seems to turn them is during combat if you accidently strike one of your summoned men they turn on you. If you strickly limit your attacks to only the King himself then they won't turn on you.

It's tricky to not hit one of them though. If you want the XP just whack any one of them anytime and they'll turn.

Well I just love disabling the wholw crowd via grease and web spells and then bombard them with Snilloc's snowballs and Fireballs/Skulltraps till they are all dead. It works most of the time!

To follow up on the "freindly lizard men" thing. I just found out that if you install the last patch for IWD it fix's that bug. You don't get the lizard men after the patch. bummer, I found it rather fun to run around with a dozen or so NPC's in my group. Also increased the intensity of not being able to use area affect spells and having to be carefull with AI attacks because you ran the risk of hitting one of them and they turn on you. ah well.
