Here are today's Dragon Age forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Player built party interactions

2] How will party interjections and banter work if the party was completely built by the player.
That one's easy to answer. IF you are able to build your entire party yourself (not sure this will be possible in single-player, myself, but I might be wrong) obviously there will be no pre-written banter or interjections for them. That can only occur with NPC's you meet in the game.

    More:
My thanks Mr. Gaider. I believe that full party creation (Creating more than one anyway) was stated in last sentence of 1.11 in the DA FAQ) so i was merely curious how this would work.
I'm aware of what the FAQ says. That may, however, simply be a function of the multiplayer campaign, which is seperate. The singleplayer campaign focuses on a single PC only, but that certainly may change I suppose.

Moreover, one is NOT looking for "Fantasy Experts" (whatever those are) to review DA written material. Rather, one is looking for intelligent real world experts having a love for and familiarity with crpg and review experience -- exactly what one should be able to find among Bioware registered users.
I happen to agree with you on the need for independent reviewers. But "independent" does not need to mean external to Bioware... just external to the project team, folks who had no hand in building the world or the story. We have plenty of intelligent gamer folk who qualify in that respect here, and especially in our QA department.

    Z Axis Really Necessary?

I can probably live without climbing...flying would be interesting, as well as big leaping. Dragons seem to necessitate flying...NWN's flightless dragons always seemed to have something wrong with them...like they couldn't fly. I cant think of a story or movie with Dragons where they didnt fly. Usually dragons are sitting on their gold or flying through the air with the greatest of ease. :)
And flying monsters is possible without a player walkable z-axis just fine.

DA History, Geography, Languages, Etc: Beta Testing (reviewing) by Community
When I came onto this project, I actually read nearly the entire stack of design documents relevant to it. As I was drawn directly from the community, I wager I'm not far from the target audience, and being previously unaffiliated with the project, I was able to review all the materials with a critical and unbiased eye. This will happen repeatedly over the development process for other people as well, so I wouldn't worry about whether or not the material is being sufficiently critiqued and reviewed.

More: Don't forget that Tim (Torlack) was hired out of the community as well.

To attract the attention of the powers that be, honestly...I busted my *** building a submission module that I hoped would be different from what they've seen before. Took me a couple months of developing custom content before I ever even built the module itself. Hey, it was well worth it though.

Bottom line...if you want something, don't be afraid to bust your *** for it, no matter how out of reach it seems to be.
