Here are today's Dragon Age forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Spirituality in DA
The religion of the player, whether they be Christian or otherwise, is not something we can really take into account. There's so many varieties of belief out there, if we try to go out of our way to ensure that everything regarding the beliefs of the DA peoples are inoffensive to absolutely everyone, we'll end up with meaningless pablum (like an alien pantheon that has no emotional resonance with anyone, period).

The DA world does have a dominant religion (not to say that there aren't others in existence, however), and the player is not forced into taking any particular stance towards that religion. Being openly hostile, mind you, will have the expected reaction, but that's about it. And that's about the best we can do.

If one were to feel that that religion too closely resembled some real-world religion for their taste, however... well, meh. Just about every decision we make that isn't decidedly uninteresting is bound to be disliked by someone. That's just something we designers accept as a given.

    Release date
The release date is still measured in years, and will depend on meetings between us and whatever publisher is releasing the game. Since that's still a long ways off, I'm shutting this one down. Thanks.

    End of line.

    Merry Christmas, Bioware, and...
    I hate you all...

I mean, happy holidays and a safe and prosperous 2005 to everyone! :D
