Here are today's Dragon Age forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

Having an NPC thats involved in the quest, has the same disires and that NPC speaks them is great, so long as you don't have another jan, with his supper long odd stories that relate to everything
You know, it's that kind of attitude which puts me in mind of old Uncle Fizbert. Fizbert (Bert to his friends, though Aunt Petunia used to call him Fizzy, which used to send him into an apopleptic fit of rage but made her giggle... and since Petunia was such a well-endowed lady you can just imagine that none of the other townsfolk minded much) would storm into peoples' houses, you see, and make rude barking noises while commenting on their old furniture, their family portraits and their general lack of fashion sense. Then he would storm out again and head to the local tavern, where he would get blissfully drunk on blueberry mead and pass out in the barn after accidentally groping the bartender. Rude behavior, you might ask? Some people thought so, but only Aunt Millie ever locked her door to Fizbert so he wasn't able to get inside. Naturally Uncle Fizbert was enraged one evening when he arrived at Millie's house to give her a good piece of his mind only to find the door locked. He bashed and bashed at it with his shoulder until finally it gave in, and he went flying inside past a rather startled Aunt Millie (who didn't think he had half the strength necessary to pound through all that oak... who knew?). Unfortunately for poor Uncle Fizbert, the inertia carried him right on into the kitchen and dumped him into Millie's giant kettle of scalding chicken broth. He died even as poor Millie desperately tried to haul him out of the kettle by his feet, shouting that her chicken broth tasted like smelly feet.

The moral, you might say, would be that one should always mind their manners in someone else's home lest they get burned. It's also that oak's not quite as strong a wood as you might think it is and that most bartenders have darn good reasons for not serving blueberry mead... but there you go.

And please, spare me the fanboi mantra: "Bioware isn't making a make your own rpg game". I know this. If you can instead explain how adding races, classes, spells, and abilities will be a bad thing for DA, I'm all ears. ;)
It's funny how someone can be all ears yet not actually listen to what we say.

    Give us a v.3.5 game.

So, is that the technical instructions to the art team?
    Pretty much. Startling, isn't it?

Damn! I knew it should have been turnip broth! It's been too long, sadly... :(

    Give us a v.3.5 game.

I would like to have some words from someone who has an impact on whats being developed, about the suggestions posted here. Which is actualy the whole purpose of this post.
What suggestions exactly are you refuring to? I thought we answered the suggestion about Dragon Age being a 3.5 game. It has nothing to do with D&D, except we have Dragon in our title too. :)

    Give us a v.3.5 game.
Spellcasting animations haven't been fully defined at this time. All we know is that they should look cool, with wizbang effects.

    DA toolset/modability: Softcode everything!
Hey, The goal with the DA Toolset (and all the DA tools) is to allow the production team to create DA as they envision it as quickly and easily as possible. This means learning from what worked (and didn't work) so well in the toolsets we've built from NWN / SW / JE.
