I am replaying SOU with Dorna as a rogue. I have her putting all her levels in rogue. All was well until I started the Interelude. Now she will not touch a trap. I am not sure what is going on. A game bug? Her traps skill is not high enough? Some option was set like 'do not disable traps'?
I used her the first time through SOU and I do not think I had this problem. I do notice that she has very few points assigned to traps - most in hide etc. Maybe there is some randomness in how the henchman levels up? I did toggle the option to unlock locks or not and it had no effect.
Is there some hidden option I can change with the console? Could I use some editor to move more points into disable traps? (if that is all that is wrong)

When a bug like this comes up I find the best fix is simply shutting down and restarting the game. That will often do the trick.

The only thing I'm thinking is perhaps --- okay, this is a minor spoiler so don't read if you've just started the Interlude...

...you've been using that Find (and Remove) Traps device that you find on one of the zombies. When you use that it sometimes bugs Dorna. She'll stand there and keep trying to disarm a non-existent trap. Tell her "Follow" and that will usually fix her.

Thanks, but I have exited the game completly several times and the problem is still there. I did find the item you mentioned but have never used it. I equip Dorna with gloves of the rogue and a special ring you find in the elven crypt that boosts rogue skills. With these, she has 14 skill points in disable traps. So I think she should be able to handle them. I think this is some kind of bug.

Is she seeing the traps and saying something to the effect of "I can't do that"?

That would indicate that her skill isn't high enough, so she isn't going to bother trying.

I do encounter somethings like this, even with Tomi in OC. I usually just walk away to someplace with the problematic henchman following me, then return to the trap. It usually solves the problem. In some cases, I have to teleport back to "home base" and teleport back again. It can be a pain at times but it does keep the game going for me.

Here's my update. Nothing I did would make Dorna disable traps anymore. So I had to finish SOU with this problem the whole way. In order to gain some more levels, I imported my saved character from the end of SOU and started a new game starting at SOU interlude. I picked up Dorna again and this time she did do traps just fine.
When I became level 15, I started HOU. I notice that in HOU there is a dialog option that does toggle a henchmans option to handle traps or to ignore them. This option does not appear in SOU. But I am positive that this traps option is part of the same game engine wether you play OC, SOU or HOU (once you have HOU installed). So I am also positive that somehow my SOU save game was corrupted and turned off the handle traps option, but in SOU there is no way to turn it back on. It seems like it happens as soon as you start the SOU interlude because it actually happened to two different games I had started.
