[IMG] I keep getting NWN.exe has caused an error in some DLL file (just found out, it's BINKW32.DLL, as i was starting up this time :'( )and every so often the game just crashes to destop (resizing my desktop in the process). I've patched it to 1.27 and my system specs at the moment are:

    950 athlon
    128 meg. sdram
    gigabyte 7ixe4 mother board
    soundblaster 16 soundcard
gforce 2 MX 32 meg agp graphics card
A dying HDD, which I'm hoping id the prob if it's hardware related.

Anyone got any ideas how I can stop it dying so much?

Okay If you are running winXP try upgrading your soundcard drivers as that is a documented problem with nwn.

also found on the bioware page :
"The movie player may not work properly under Windows 98 or Windows ME with certain video cards. Updated drivers may help.

If you are having slow movie playback under Windows 98 or Windows ME you can edit the "SafeMovie=1" entry in your nwn.ini file to "SafeMovie=0" - this will improve playback speed in-game but may introduce problems where the sound plays but the movies visuals do not. We mention this purely as an option for the advanced user.

[IMG] I've already got the drivers updated and have looked at the bioware site for help, soz, i should have mentioned that in the original post.

/me bashes himself over the head with an inflatable object for forgetting to mention that. :bang:

And I've got Win ME on the computer. I'm starting to regret buying NWN and it's fast losing it's potential it had shown :wail: :almostmad: :flaming:
