Diviner quest in the prologue.

I seem to be having a problem... I have the easy use mod installed, so I think that maybe it, but I hope not, because I dont want to restart the game to fix it.

Anyway. The seer guy in the pavillion in the prologue wont except the breag (sp). And the barbarian merchant doesnt have it for sale because I was dumb and chose to randomize the treasures (I forgot it also randomizes stores).

So how do I get around this? Is there a cheat code I can use? Am I forgetting something?

On second thought, is there a cheat or a way to get past the tutorial and still have the quests and stuff be set as successfully completed? Ive played the prologue atleast 9 times since I bought this game a couple years ago. heh So, Im pretty sick of the tutorial now...

1) I think the Braegh issue is the reason why I never did the randomised treasure mod
2) I have never heard of a Targos-be-Gone mod.

 

lol. Yeah Id love to have a targos-begone-mod ^_^

I *might* restart the game... without the randomizer. I like most of the other parts of the mod though.

 

you migth try dalekeeper, give it to one of your chars through that.

 

I did that too, and the dialogues for giving the diviner the breag dont show up.

I think the only way one could skip the prologue is if someone offered up a save-game of the after-targos section (and they did all the quests)...

 

The problem with the save idea is that your characters, being imported, wouldn't have the XP unless you editted it in.

 

I had the same thing happen, same mods used, even random treasure. Turn that one off, it kills you throughout the game. Did you speak to the leader's wfe who sell scrolls and magic? She gives you the original quest to give the potion to him. She sold braeg to me, although her stock was randomized as well, so you may not get it that way. I DK in several quest items until I turn random off.

 

Well, I managed to get through all of targos, and Im up to the part just before the goblin attack on the palisades, the part right after you deal with the iron collar band... Once Im done with the goblin raid, Im gonna save the game and upload it as a targos-begone-mod-sorta. ^_^ Of course, youll have to use Dale Keeper to edit the charas and stuff.

Ok that just went from weird to worse... lol. I wanted to get through the last part of the goblin attack, so I go around to all the attacking parties and ctrl+y all the goblins... Which seems to work well enough. But then when all the goblins are dead (I did fight a few for the xp), the towns people started attacking me! Im like wtf??

I even went into the town, and all the people there were attacking me lol, even Oswald! O_O;;

You must have killed, or perhaps just hurt, one of the towns people by mistake. If that happens then they consider you to be a traitor and everyone starts attacking you.

I once threw a barrel of flaming oil on a group of goblin. Unfortunately it caught one of the mercenaries. That was it. Everyone started attacking me until I killed a 'Game Critical Charecter' and had to reload.

For your Targos-be-gone save, use the 'Visiting Shrawford at the Paliside' save. That way you can always check if your party is strong enough to not get wooped by the goblin horde. Just make sure you did all the side quests.

 

Ah. Yeah I figured that was what caused it. But I reloaded it and did the same thing and nothing bizarre happened. ^_^

I saved it right after you exit the town for the first time. Made sure all the characters were at full health and stuff. So it's good togo. I'll upload it tomorrow.

Isnt there supposed to be cobwebs that you can collect at that spot in the highland pass where you have to deal with the wererat? There isnt any randomization in this game.

 

No, the cobwebs are later, after the Horde Fortress (when Oswald crashes)
