I've been playing for a little while now, and I've come to the conclusion that the dialogue is a bit flat. I'm playing the Japanese version and maybe it's due to that, but it seems, for example, somebody will say something like, "I come from the city of Luskan." And my party leader will have the option of responding with "So, you came from Luskan?" (!!!!) Is it because she has only a 10 intelligence? I thought that 10-11 in a D&D ability score was supposed to be "average." Does anyone else have such experiences?

The charisma based skills diplomacy, bluff and intimidate offer the most dialogue options. There are only a few options which depend on int or wis.

Different races and classes can also get different dialogue options.

And be sure that member with highest CHA and skill points talks to the NPCs. Use Eagle's Splendor (lvl 2 wiz/src) if possible, it really enhances your persuasive abilities.
