Destroying Auril's altar?

ok wtf do i do? im in the room, at the altar. i attack it etc.. it doesnt die. how do i kill this thing?

nathaniel or whatever says he isnt yet ready to collect on the favor.

ive killed everything in this place. the only room i cant get into is on the second (bottom) floor at the bottom left. that room by where all those guys were trapped behind the mirror.

help....im quite furstrated

Ok, this is going to be quite lenghty in explaination, but bear with me. First off, go back down to the first floor and talk to Ondabo, and I hope you didn't kill him. He's the genie in the room with a bunch of Postulants, the room that's right before the room that's chock full of trolls. If you ask him about the altar, he'll tell you the name of the spitit that inhabits it, Caged Fury is the name btw, and then, you can banish it.

Now, if you killed Ondabo, I think there's another way to get rid of it. Go back to the second floor and go in the prism room. Right next to it should be another room with weird globe thingies. There should also be a couple dead bodies. Pick them up and go back to the altar and give them to him. Now, I never tried it this way, but I think he won't like the sacrifices and will leave. I think, don't get mad if that doesn't work, alright?

Don't worry about Nickademus and his favor. It won't come into play for quite some time.

Ok, for the room next to the Mirror of Life Trapping. Here's what you do. There's like the coffin room next to that room and there's a secret door that will light up when you come close to it. Open that door. Then, keep the Mirror of Life Trapping room door open as well. Go back to the prism room, make the prism face south and fire. The lightening bolt should bounce off a bunch of mirrors, go through the coffin room, the mirror room and open that door that you can't open. Make sure that no party members are in the way of the bolt though, or they'll be hurt. That should do it. Oh, one more thing. I highly suggest freeing the people in the mirror, if you haven't already done so. Good experience points.

thanks (for the welcome and advice). i did already waste the guys in the mirror, pretty easy . luckily i didnt kill that djini, ill go talk to him now.

I know this is a long bump, but I can't get past Auril's Altar either. I did kill the Genie, unfortunately, and just dropping the bodies doesn't seem to work either.

Anything else I can try?

EDIT: I haven't messed around in the "Battle Arena" thing yet. Maybe a clue will reveal itself there.
