Deleted BG2, want my saves to work

    [​IMG] I had some problems with my computer and had to format it. I copyed out everything I thought I might need, including BG, BG2, Icewind Dale saves.
    I installed all the games over again and try to copyed the save files to their respective games, but they would not load...

    Any ideas on why this happened and maybe a way of fixing it.

    What's really annoying is that I had that Chr all the way through BG1 and BG2

    [​IMG] I don't know.
    Maybe you had installed the patch before and haven't done so now? Not even sure that would cause a problem but with many games it does.

    Have you placed the saves in the right folder?
    ...[Baldur's Gate2]\save
    or
    ...[Baldur's Gate2]\mpsave

    [​IMG] If you burned them to a CD and then copied them back, reset the file attributes so that they won't be read-only.

    [​IMG] Thanx Talutain, it worked.
    Now I have a new problem. As all my chr are at max lvl I installed the XPcap remover, but nothing happens.
    Do I have to start the game all over again for it to take effect.
