Dark Sun fatal bug

    [​IMG] I have no illusions about getting an answer considering how old the game is (and it wasn't a bestseller even 12 years ago) but I'm annoyed enough to try.

    I was replaying Dark Sun: Shattered Lands after almost a decade and was enjoying it just as much as the first time. I got near the end of the game (the buried city ruins), got the Genie and asked for his help, was teleported to the final fight again the Draj army... and found there was no one there. Everything up to this point has happened the way it should, but the final fight does not trigger when it should. This bug is a total show-stopper: the game cannot be completed if the Draj army doesn't appear.

    I've tried loading a saved game from a little earlier, and got the same thing. I've searched the net and found few occurences of others facing this bug, but not clues as to what caused it or how to fix it (if it can be fixed). I'm running the version of the game that ships with the AD&D Masterpiece Collection (prepatched to v1.1).

    I don't mind starting the game over (it took my just a few days to complete it, and I don't like my current party anyway), but I will only do so if I can be certain this bug will not happen again. If anyone's played the game and has any clue why this happens, or how to avoid it, I'd appreciate knowing about it.
