    [IMG] Hi!

I have an idea for a character that will (theoretically, if I have not made a mistake in my reckoning) have a base damage resistance of 100%, and 140% with hardiness active.

When damage resistance is over 100%, would physical damage heal me?

    No, it won't heal you.

It's the same with other resiisntances, it can't be over 127% and to my experience it does heal you. I've had a lot of cheesy fun pitting a F/M/T against a horde of demons. Nothing else could explain the fast healing rate but getting hp from the physical attacks of the demons.

Quickest way of testing this would be Defender of Easthaven and Cloak of Sewers. IIRC polymorphed as a rat wielding DoA in the offhand should give over 100% damage reduction.

I've got baldurdash and ascencion, so these don't affect damage reduction healing you.

Having resistance to physical damage above 100% will not heal you automatically as if you have worn a regenerating device, but yes, if someone hits you, your current hp will be practically increased. (Too cheesy, though).

In my previous response, I thought you were asking whether the resistance would heal you by itself, which was a misinterpretation of your question. Sorry.

And thanks to Iku-Turso for correcting my reply.

You heal when enemies actually hit you with weapons? That's a bit...uh, cheesy. :toofar:
