I am a newbie (complete) to this forum, as well as a newbie (partial) newbie to BG2:SoA. I have read most of the posts about adding custom portraits, but I have not seen this particular issue addressed. After downloading the portraits, the 2 files, large and small, are displayed in an enclosing folder. Do I place the folder containing the files in the "portraits" folder, or just the 'unencased' large and small bmp files themselves? Sorry if this seems self-evident to everyone, but my brain function seems to be capped at a very low level tonight.
Thanks in advance for any assistance rendered by anyone at all.

You need to copy the large and small files themselves to the portraits folder in the SoA folder...if they aren't showing up in the game, try opening them up one at a time using the paint program and then try again...that usually works for me. Oh, and wlecome to the boards! You'll stick around now won't you? :rolling:

No problem, I was in the SoA forum when your post poped up...I had your exact problem when I first started to import my custom portraits, so I was more than willing to give a quick answer.

    Glad to help! :D :rolling:
