Couple of Problems

    [​IMG] Hey, folks. I recently bought Baldur's Gate along with ToTSC and have encountered a couple of problems. My first one is that the ToTSC disc appears to only work in America and Canada which is pretty annoying. I was wondering if there was anyway I could get around this rather than having to send it back.

    The second problem is that BG can't seem to move through areas anymore. It's started to close and comes up with the message

    An Assertion failed in D:bad:Dev\chitin\ChVidImage.cpp at line number 1072

    whenever I try to move between areas.

    I'd really appreciate any help with this, thanks in advance!

    [​IMG] Apparently changing the time zone on the system clock is a handy workaround for getting round the area limitations on the game :lol:

    I can only reccomend a reinstall to cure the second problem.
    Alter Clock
    Install BG
    Install TotSC
    Apply Latest Patch

    See if it was simply a write error on install. If it's a regular error I could try and install the game myself or root out the file you need. Am not sure I'll be able to though, just to warn you.

    Thanks for the speedy reply 8!

    No luck with the clock change or reinstall unfortunately. Thinking back, I recall it asking to change the save files when installing ToTSC. I've reinstalled it without ToTSC using the same save files, could this have something to do with it?

    [​IMG] Most likely, TotSC alters the saved files, can't remember how exactly. Don't suppose you have backups of your saves do you? :o
