    Hi,

I just bought a new computer and would like to continue my game without starting again.

Do I simply need to copy the save files on the new machine or will I also need the characters files?

    Thanks!

    Go to http://www.yousendit.com/
    Put your email address in.
Browse for Icewind Dale 2 Saved game you want and send it.
Now go to your email and download it.

Or alternitively if you have 2 email addresses you should be able to send it by attachments.

I don't think you need the character files though all you should need is the save files.

I'll just copy them on my USB stick.

    Thanks!

I'm not sure about this, but isn't the character files only the starting characters? It looks like it is if you open them in Dalekeeper..
And by that I mean that it's only the savegames that is necessary. But then. Why risk it? Copy both to be sure. :)

Even if its a new install, so long as you do have the same setup (patch and mods) you only need to copy the savegame to continue forward.

^Yes yes copy of the save game will be enough and it can easily be written and kept in a floppy disc for safety or transferring from PC to PC.

I finished the game on the old computer...

I'll just import the characters to the new one and play HoF :)

^Definitely go for HoF it is well worth it. You may be frustrated at first when goblins manage to kill you but if you need any help you know where to ask OK? GOOD LUCK!
