I ended up with a Canvas map of Bilbos quest. It has all the different points marked off.

It used to be my Aunts but somehow I ended up with it. It rocks.

My favourite thing WOULD be a lovely shiny PlayStation 2 with accessories, if some W£$%&£ on eBay hadn't decided to cash my cheque and not send the goods

As it is, it's probably the MegaDrive at the moment

I have something like crystal ball, well, it is hollow and it has smaller ball in the middle, which fires sparks inside greater ball, if you touch it, one greater spark comes from smaller ball to the your finger, but glass is between the spark and your finger! I saw it in the Goonies movie for the first time, and years after that, i saw it in store so i decided to buy it (childhood memories? ). It is just a decoration, so coolnes purity is 100%

Maybe my autographed copy of "The Foundation Trilogy" by Isaac Asimov, or my gold medal from the 1992 US Fencing Association National Championships.

I have a full-sized suit of armor my wife bought for me while we were still dating. I knew right then she was a keeper. :D

A brand new 17" TFT, and, of course, my High School diploma. :D (Since it required some *serious* work with an area where I'm really weak)

    This is :yot:

@ Rallymama Don't talk about Isaac Asimov please! I have to do my final written exam on Asimov and his " Watery Place " story for English. Now you make me remember that...sigh...

    My Ding a ling!

Sorry, too much Chuck Berry. I have some cool stuff, but nothing that stands out like you guys. I guess given my religious beliefs I would say my soul, but I know that's not what you were really asking.

Shell, you should slag that rat bastard on E-Bay so he never makes another deal there. Why didn't you just buy one from the store?

I go with Mithrantir. My Vinyl-LP's are "cool". I haven't got that much, but I own "Beggars Banquet", "Queen I" and " A Night at the Opera".

Rally ... did you win it or buy it? ;) (If you won it, I'm running full speed away!)

Honestly, I don't have much cool stuff. My wife sold my wedding ring, the bank owns my house and car (still making payments on both).

    I'm a fairly utilitarian guy.

I guess the coolest thing I "own" would be my pride! :thumb:

@ LKD It was cheaper, and I tried to contact him last night and got his mate, who is going to sort it out. I'll keep you posted :)

    @ Shell

Precisely why I don't - and now won't - shop on e-bay. Thank you for confirming my fears.

The coolest thing I own is probably my weapon collection. Nothing too fancy (yet), but notable. I have a hand-made long sword from Spain, a cool Roman gladius-style short sword with a very detailed and ornate scabbard, and a Quon Dao (I think that's spelled correctly). It's basically a heavy, single edged curved blade about 1.5 feet long on the end of a 3-foot shaft. Like a short spear, but meant for slashing.

I'm trying to collect one cool new weapon every year. No catalogs or home shopping network crap - each one has a story about where I got it. I'd go for genuine, rare and/or exotic weapons, but I'm poor :( so I get what I can. This year, it'll be either a Claymore (big mean 2 handed sword) or a Naginata (like the Quon Dao, but a longer shaft).

A little crazy, yes, but stamps are lame.

@Mat: I won it as part of the DC Fencer's Club Women's Epee team. Funny thing was, we were shooting for fourth place from the beginning. When we made the finals (against a perennial powerhouse), lots of people walked off to watch other events, figuring it was all over, but we won by the slimmest possible margin - a sigle touch. There was much surprise when medals were awarded.

No need to run, tho', I hung up my epees in favor of cycling shoes when I took up with Velcro. But never sneak up on me when I'm cooking! ;)

Probably not the coolest, but the most sentimental thing I own would have to be my Valedictorian award from last year.
