CLUA question

    I read about the CLUA consol and know how to activate it etc. However, I was looking to increase a couple of my stats only by 1 (not maxing them out).

    I'm justifying this cheeting by telling myself I shouldn't have wasted my Tomes on NPC in BGI - I only caught on after I'd used the charisma one on Imoen and Con on someone else.

    Anyway... your help would be appreciated.

    You can't change your stats with the console. With it, you can only create the tomes, but half of them don't work in BG2. (They're not supposed to be in the game.)

    So you might as well use Shadow Keeper, which will allow you to edit all stats and more.

    Hello, I seem to be having problems using "CLUA console". I found what seems to be my "baldur.ini file" then in game i "ctrl space" but just pauses and unpauses.

    Thank you for replying. I have took a second look at the "Unlocking cheats" and not for sure what is the first alteration, unless its adding "Debug Mode=1" also. did that and still nothing

    Did you do it while the game was running? Exit the game, make sure the changes are made, then run it again. If you followed the instructions on cheats.php correctly, you will be able to use cheats.

    Yes, I made sure the game was off. It may be a factor of finding the right keys to use. They say to use "crtl+space" or "ctrl+tab" but i have tried every crtl+(key) on my keyboard and nothing.:confused:

    [​IMG] Okay this will sound dumb, but I don't have my CDs at halls yet (I thought my BG2 CD was already in the drive :()

    But have you tried using the other ctrl? :doh:

    It's honestly all I can think of for now.

    try Cheats=1 instead of debug mode...

    oh, wait, it's there already...

    maybe debug mode goes under [Game Options]

    I can't help but marvel at how small the ini files looks :lol:

    You're on vista right? Have you checked the compatibility files tab? You may find another baldur.ini there you need to modify instead ;)

    Sorry to revive this old thread, but I noticed an oversite on that page. When it's talking about creating items, it doesn't mention that usable items with multiple uses can have a second and third parameter to denote the various charges. Otherwise the item you create will have no charges. An example of this will be the wand of fire(balls), where if you make it with
    CLUAConsole:CreateItem("wand05") the wand will have no charges
    CLUAConsole:CreateItem("wand05",50) will let you use fireballs but not Agannazar's Scorcher
    You need to use
    CLUAConsole:CreateItem("wand05",99,99) to have charges for both.

    Can one of the mods make a notation about that?
