    Okay,
Being a cleric with extra turning, sun-domain, 16 wisdom and 15 Charisma, I finally found myself at the great graveyard.
I tried to turn some (9) zombies there, supposing some of them would flee in terror, but all of them died.
Is this getting a bit more difficult in the game or am I doomed to slay Skeletons, Zombies, Mummies and Liches by just 1 single press on F5 (Turn Undead)?

Btw, is there something like a 'Dawnspeaker' to find/forge?

[IMG] You should try doing it with a paladin with a Charisma of 21-22!!! You can KILL 10 at a time for the most part!

In my experience, Turn Undead will kill hige amounts of very weak undead but will do little, if anything, against the more powerful ones. I have never tried it with a cleric, but my paladin's Turn had no effect on Mummy Lords, Liches, etc. So, no, it should not get too easy.

Later on, it started to get overpowered, but in Chapter Two, I had a lot of problems taking down skeleton warriors.

It may be that my cha is only 14 though.

In Chapter Three, I used it to cause vamps and demons to run away from me, but I never needed it. The best use I've found is to use it to eliminate weaklings quickly.

    That's good news then!
Well, as long as I won't be surprised by 10 liches, o/c!
Almost wanted to boycot this Turn Undead ability. I want to do SOME trouble for killing these wandering corpses, but these skeletons are rather annoying.

Didn't know it worked for demons as well...
    Thanks.

This topic made me curious as to just how powerful Turn Undead gets. My pally with a charisma of 28 (21, Nymph Cloak +5, potion of Eagle's Splendor) is able to gib entire armies of vampires and has liches running away in terror.

This being the case, I retract my previous statement about it not being terribly overpowered. All I have yet to accomplish is to gib a lich. Who knows? It might even be possible.

I'm a lvl 6 cleric with 16 charisma and sun domain, right now. Does that mean that I can turn undeads of 22d (16+6) and that 11d-undeads and lower die instantly?
And where can I find info about Monsters HitDie, except the D&D MonsterManuals?

According to the NWN manual, that would appear to be the case. As for the monster's hit dice, you can open up the toolset and take a look at their stats. HP is given, not HD, but you should be able to get a rough idea from there.

I was never able to get it to work on liches, at all, but once I got to Chapter Three, liches were pretty pathetic enemies anyway.

My cleric can actually turn elementals with it as well (which came in handy against invisible stalkers), but that's due to a domain power.

AFAIK, the only easy way to gain access to a monster's hit die is to open up the toolset and look at their level. Level does equal hit dice after all. Failing that, try a D&D manual.
