Cleaning the Moathouse

    I cleaned the moathouse but I cannot finish the quest with Burne. I have the reputation as moathouse cleaner. Very strange. Any suggestions?

    After killing or subduing Lareth the Beautiful; make sure you read his Diary. This will reveal some more of the story as well as the location of Nulb. This allows you to progress to the next chapter of the game (Also, I believe it opens up a new dialogue option with Burne).

    Yes, I read the diary and went to nulb. But I still cannot finish the quest with Burne, there no dialog option.

    I have a similar problem-- I can't read the Diary- My rogue has it and when she goes to USE item, it suggests to check for traps, and she does and there is one, and there is dialog to disarm the trap and I choose that but at that point absolutely nothing happens- seems like a broken link. I have even tried dropping the book and trying to disarm it on the ground to no avail- If I can't read it, then I can't complete this quest. In the same vein, the blacksmith wants me to open a chest for him, and although my rogue has a 9 in the open locks skills, she can't get it, nor virtually any other lock in the game. How hard are these traps and locks, anyone know? Do we need a DC 28 or something to succeed?? Someone please help!

    OK. so I cleared the Moathouse, all bad guys-even the crab- left nothing alive, especially not Lareth. I got his Diary, I took it to Furnok to get it opened, and then I read the whole thing, I went to Rufus and Berne, and --Nothing. No new Dialogue, no ending of the quest, nothing. What am I doing wrong??

    OK-- here's what I found out over at Circle of 8 --

    You have to finish this quest in a certain order or it won't complete. Terjon gives this quest to some- but you must report back to him before finding Nulb on your map- if Terjon doesn't mark Nulb on your map- he won't complete the quest for you-ever :(

    Jaroo gives this quest to others and he will only complete it for you if he triggered by a True Nuetral person or group- I wasn't clear on whether it had to group alignment or just the person talking to him.

    So.. I wil never have this one completed-- hope it is not too late for you Maede :)
