NWVault has interviewed the team behind CRAP - the Classic Roleplaying Adaptation Project created to bring into NWN the good old pen and paper feeling. Here's a snip:

    2. Your group's acronym is … unique. :) What does C.R.A.P. stand for and how did that name come about?
Grimm: A lot of things related to NWN have acronyms. Originally this "vision" of creating PnP standardization wasn't expected to go as far as it did. It has been well received by the Community and because of that we decided to develop it quite a bit. We used the C.E.P. as a basis to build from and decided to create an acronym of our own. We wanted something to describe the "Classic Roleplaying" aspect and the fact that we were "Adapting" NWN to more of a PnP feel. Tag "Project" on the end, because it is a never-ending one :) . Its original intent was as supporting material for our PW world known as "Realms of Myth".
PlywoodChicken: Last fall, while creating new Mods using the system, we decided to do a revision and update our systems and Haks to reflect a more accurate Pnp environment and release them to the Community as a tool mod for building. This decision was made because of the sheer number of PnP conversion modules on the Vault. We thought we could help some people out by providing "standard" systems that would have to be recreated over and over by each module developer. In other words, we hope it saves people time. We have also used C.R.P. as an acronym from time to time.
