NWVault has posted an interview with two people, Elshad Kasumov and Mark 'BloodKnight' Iradian, the author of "Amulet of Zeran" that has made it to NWVault's Hall of Fame, who produce a webcomic entitled "Chronicles of Garas". Here's an excerpt:

    1) Could you please introduce yourself and your co-conspirator to our readers.

Elshad: Well, my name's Elshad Kasumov, I'm a Software Engineer by trade, though art is my real passion. I've been drawing since I was a toddler, and, in my later teens, tried to pimp my work to comic creators and editors (note the distinction ;) ) at conventions. For the most part, the experience was rewarding, though no job offers materialized. I spent the next couple of years, slapping together submissions and pitching them to companies, though without much luck. After graduating from college, I took some time off from art for about six months, until a friend of a friend put me in touch with the co-founder of Seven Seas Entertainment (a shameless plug toarted my creativity again, so I began posting at various art message boards and sites, eventuall those talented people over at http://gomanga.com ), who had some commission work for me. That really jump-sty ending up on deviantArt. There, Mark contacted me about working on a webcomic with him and the rest, as they say, is history. My profound apologies for the rant.

Mark: As some of you know, I'm the guy who made Amulet of Zeran that got into the Hall of Fame and even won best hack and slash at iGames module awards. That being said, I'm sort of back in webcomic writer form. Garas is a campaign setting I've been working for over three years, and it all started out as something different for the players to play in on OpenRPG. Garas, in a sense, is sort of an anti-fantasy fantasy setting. They are no halflings, dark elves, or monarchy. I was going to start this out as a novel series, but I think the world of Garas relies much on visuals, and this is where Elshad comes by. I saw his artwork at DeviantArt and bugged him about my project. He seemed really pleased what he saw and as he just said…the rest is history.
