Hi, I've recently begun experimenting with mods. First I downloaded tactics (thus far the only fight that's been that bad was Illyich. I mean MY GOD!! Thanks guys, is there anything else you would like to throw at me while I'm low level with no weapons or armour? A beholder maybe? How about a dragon? Anyway, they're all dead now)and everything was more or less peachy until I downloaded Chloe's mod. Now something really wierd happens occasionally. Everyonce in a while, the text in the game will be replaced with dialogue that Chloe is supposed to have with Anomen. For instance, all of the baddies in the first dungeon are now named "Why are you looking at CHARNAME Anomen? What? Do you honestly think that she would ever be interested in you in a personal way?" and all of the mages are named "Why yes, my good lady. What with my chiseled good looks and charming personality, what woman would not be interested in me? Um...besides you of course". This wouldn't be so bad except the name is so long that when they cast spells the name of the spell is offscreen and I have no idea what's going on. When I fight Irenicus in Hell, instead of telling me how he's going to destroy my existence he starts telling me how much he loves me and how Chloe is a bad person and how I should choose him instead (its actually one of the funniest things I've ever seen). But sometimes this happens with important text and with item descriptions and its just generally beginning to annoy me. I think it has to do with the fact that I moved the file dialogue.tlk. If somebody could give me more information or just tell me where the dialogue file is supposed to go in the first place I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks

The dialogue.tlk file is supposed to be in your BG2: SoA folder.

Does Chloe have a string fixer? If she does, it's should be mentioned in the readme, so I would try that.

Is it just in the main folder, or in a subfolder. Right now I have it in the primary directory.

That's where it's supposed to be, I believe.

Almost all new NPC mods come with string fixers. Select Chloe, then hit the L key on your keyboard. Or is it K? In any case, you should listen to Kuemp; it's probably in the ReadMe.
    ;)
