I've been told that the main thing to do is kill the queen and\or king. I haven't managed to get to there yet as my game has a bug or something.

How did you get there? What happens in my game is that I killed all the 4 elemental thingys properly but then nothing happens. I walk around and around the level for ages but still nothing. What is supposed to happen??

On a different note, I've now gone up an avatar!!!!

[IMG] I weakened the enemies with fireballs and arrows of detonation in the beginning. Don't move to much, let them come to you and bash the points, the fireballs have left, out of them ;)

My best guess would be the Fission Slime --- you have to kill it using ONLY fire --- otherwise you don't get teleported. Also, I remember that I had to search around for an Invisible Stalker that I'd missed at first. It's in the room with the Air Aspect.

Trust me I've killed everything! Fireballed the hell out of the slime, killed the air aspect and all it's invisible stalkers, killed all the wolves and that polar bear, killed both phoenix guards, the woman before she could use her bow. But still nothing

Another poing about the chess game: protect yourself from fear. The idea is not to move around too much as the board is boobytrapped. If they manage to send a couple of your characters running around like crazy and afraid, you'll be in for a bad time. You must eventually kill the king (he has some nice items by the way) to end the chess game. Use fireballs and detonation arrows at the start as stated earlier. If a character does become afraid, cast resilient sphere on them to keep them from moving.

I agree to crawl and cerryl. The board is boobytrapped, so just set your party on fixed positions using the guard function and fireball them to hell. Yep, protection from fear would be cool.

*sob* my halfling paladin in BG-1 misses his weapon style specialisation as well as the armor of the heart or the firedragon scale and his cavalier kit ..... *sob*

    That worked fine for me.
