I haven't seen this 'trick' mentioned ever before (although some people may have done it before me), so I thought I'd share it with you guys.

I am playing a good party, but with the Use Any Item ability and my powergaming attitude, I wanted to have the human flesh armor. This requires the blood of a silver dragon. Since I roleplay as much as possible (it's kind of limited by my powergaming), I wanted to do everything in Ust Natha the good way.

You could off course, after completing ecerything just attack Adalon instead of talk to her. But this will derive you of 78,500 exp (remember I'm powergaming).
When you finish talking to her, she becomes a human and teleports away. Then there is a fight with some drow before you can leave the underdark, IN WHICH ADALON WILL HELP YOU. Hehe, I thought, why don't I kill her now. Problem was, that as soon as she turns hostile, she casts dimension door and is outta there.
But this time I cast timestop (from scroll) with my tenser's transformated bard. With offensive spin and the Celestial Fury, she could pound away at Adalon for the full duration of the timestop. After the timestop she was near death and I could finish her off before she fled.

I know this is pretty cheesy, but it will enable you to do everything the way it's supposed to (except for the last thing) and also get the blood.

Hey, that's not a bad idea! I've always wanted to fight her just because she is a dragon, but I didn't want to loose all that xp. Next time I go through the Underdark, I'm going to have to try that out.

    :yot:
Does anyone know if you can pick-pocket the blood off of her? That would be kind of funny. :p :rolling:

Problem is, she won't be a dragon then. She'll just be human and she won't even fight back.

You can't pickpocket dragons and Adalon's human form 'has no items', although she does drop the blood...

You're right -- that is cheesy.

A good party killing a lawful good dragon is not roleplaying. Had you pulled that stunt in any of my PnP games, you'd have a lot more on your hands than just the blood of a silver dragon.

I'm powergaming, I thought I had made that clear. This is why I want the dragon's blood. However, I don't really want to do evil stuff (only when it's necessary to become more powerful), so I want to do everything the good way as long as possible.

    That's what I mean by:
I want to roleplay AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. ('possible' meaning: if it won't interfere with powergaming)

I pretty much think that excludes each other. Powerplay and roleplay in BG2.

Primarily you are powerplaying. That means you always choose those options (in talking) that give you most XP, items,...

Now those options are sometimes evil, and sometimes good, depending of what you want for your party. By that i mean that some reward might be better for some parties and another better for yours.

So you're chaotic. And even if you do a good thing once in a while you still do many bad ones. Remember the the end of SoA. Tears of Bhaal. If you choose one evil option you were considered hence on as an evil person.

    So you're chaotic evil :p

You're right, the one pretty much does exclude the other. But I'm just saying I like to play good when the reward doesn't really matter.
