    How do i check dead bodies for loot sometimes i can but sometimes i can not what am i doing wrong.help..

    Install the official patch #3, it fixes the looting bug in ToEE on an XP SP2 system. You can find the patch on SP, ToEE Miscellanea subsection.

    Tal (or anyone else) - this link says that I should not install Patch #3, and yet when I install the first two and the unofficial (but presumably good) two patches, I still can't pick up items (except during combat).

    Should I go with only the official patches, or should the two unofficial ones already have cleared up the problem #3 solves? Thanks.

    Yes, moebius2778's temple.dll is supposed to fix the looting bug, among other things... I can't imagine why it wouldn't work for you, short of not being installed properly. Try asking on the Co8 boards. But if all else fails, you can always just install the official patches and leave the Co8 stuff alone.
