[IMG] Hi, I'm a new SP member.

I just tried to visit the Friendly Arm Inn and I get a blank window for the ''chat'' and now security warnings pop up on my browser.

Why am I not being able to connect to ''chat''?

    thanks,

    Ox

Do you have Java as part of your browser or on your computer? That is needed to connect to the FAI.

    Hmm,

thanks. am contacting tech support for my isp service to get info on Java...

my service is Qwest/msn. and their layers of getting to live support or even e-mail support are many and cumbersome.

am not impressed with Qwest ...finally they answered. they sent me here:

    support...http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp

Java downloaded for FREE and it works. I am now chatting.

    thank you

    Ox

[IMG] You know, it's written that you need to have Java installed, and where to get it, on the first page of the chatrooms subsection... Right here: http://www.sorcerers.net/Community/IRC/index.php

Still, your tech support gave you the right info. ;)

I can never get Java to work properly with chatrooms. I have no idea why, but it's a pain in the bowlax.
I use that IRC thing when I go in there. Which is few and far between, but I have been known to occasionally wander in when pissed as a fart and make a fool of myself.
    Ah well.
