Please help, I have the latest ToB patch installed and have beaten the game previously, however, when I tried to go back and start a new game in SoA I can't seem to get the characters to actually attack anything. The message prompt comes up that they are attacking however they just get real close to the monster and just stand there. Anyone got any ideas?

Ever heard of Boods of Lightning Speed?

If yes, do post where have you found those.
If no, cast Heal or Cure Disease on your characters that don't attack (you may buy that in Temples if there's no cleric around) or kill then resurrect them.

Yes, I created them with the cheat code, do I have to remove the boots to fix the problem or will your other suggestions work?

Take the boots off :p Those boots are for cowards who wish to flee, you move too fast to attack.

And no, in case of those boots other suggestions won't work. Those are for dealing the bug with permanently blinded NPCs.

And remember, if something can't be found in the game legally, there was a good reason why is that so.
