From what I can see in this board you can complete alot of the quests in chapter two, I know how to progress to chapter three , but paying my money.

But does it really matter, the little quests were given to you to raise the cash , which I managed to raise after about ten minutes of playing time. From then one quests just accumulate.

What is the deal here with chapters , I know some places are only accessible in certain chapters , but other than that ????

The chapters advance the storyline, and dictate the general direction of the game. Some chapters are more linear than others.

In chapter 2, a lot of the quests are simply there to introduce NPCs and party interaction. You can try out several party members, with individualized quests, before settling down to the advancement of the plot. Or you can just raise the money and go! :D Depends on your playing style...

You can start chapter 3 as soon as you have the money required. However I´d strongly recommend to do some more quests as needed just to raise the money. I think the chap-II quests are the most interesting in the game and I found that I need the XP to earn there in spellhold ;)

    Cool , thanks everybody.

Just one more thing in BG when you advanced chapters ,you didn't lose quests , I hope the same applies in BGII
