Changing Binky's (Sarevok) alignment...

    Alright, I just finished the LAST "pocket plane" challenge, however, Sarevok's alignment still remained at CE. Here's what I happened so far...

    1) I let Imoen give her soul to revive Sarevok.
    2) I gave replies that emphasized that he's free to do anything.
    3) when he mentioned something about a plan of ruling together, I agreed.

    BTW, I was "forcing" the dialog using the CTRL+U+I cheat.

    Anything I did wrong? I already have 18 rep points and I don't want to use the Slayer form just to make sure Sarevok won't leave my party.

    Aren't you supposed to 'act good' around him? Sorry I'm not more help. He usually doesn't fit with the party I have when I get to the Pocket Plane.

    I think that the "ruling together" answer was what kept him CE -- the PC has to show that he has no interest in dominating others.

    The only really important thing is making sure that you DO NOT make him swear an oath. If you do, there's no chance of him becoming good.

    Does my PC have to be good? My own PC is CE.

    I eventually told Sarevok, "Forget it, I have other plans"...and something like, "Power is not = to ruling over others", but he's still CE. Do i have to raise a rep point? Or does the alignment of the protagonist affect Sarevok's change?

    lol...I played a NE character who was just mainly selfish and self-centered. He and Sarevok got on great but I sure wasn't trying to change Sarevok's allignment. The dialogue was good.

    It was my most fun party ever.

    @Acrux: Yeah...and I'm currently romancing Aerie to boot...fun watching my own protagonist act like an arse towards Viccy, Jaheira and Jan (when his daughter fell ill) but uber sweet to Aerie. :p

    Looks like I'll have to spam the Slayer change button to keep Binky in my party :)

    ****... Do you you really not have to make him swear an oath in order to make him of good alignment? Awww, crap. I decided (first time ever) to use him 'cause I had heard on these boards you could make him change alignments (I always play Good. Just seems more appropriate)-but made him swear the oath. Bugger.

    Ok, here's the rules to live by if you want 'the best male NPC in the game' to change his alignment.

    #1: Offer *your* soul, not Immy's.
    #2: *DO NOT* ask that he swear an oath to you.
    #3: When talking with him, always show him that you wish to do good, and that you wish to banish the Bhaal taint once and for all.

    Sooner or later within the game, he'll start a conversation in which he will change if you say the right things to him. :rolling:

    #1 offered my soul (Is there option of giving Immoen's soul? never seen that)
    #2 didn't make him swear the oath
    #3 always said right and good things only except confused about dialog of the third test, and got the evil ability (from UB mod)

    for the third one I truly said the good thing but Sola considered it bad....dang

    anyway all this way Sarevok's alignmnet never changed in my run. what's the matter with my one?
