This is the second part of my, intended, collection of short stories about Jareg. The first is here - Luck's Goodwill

Though they are about the same person knowledge of one is not nescesary for enjoyment of the other. They are seperate stories in their own right, though currently 'Luck's Goodwill' is completed but 'Careless but not Heartless' is not.

So here is the first part of 'Careless but not Heartless'. It may appear slower than 'Luck's Goodwill' but this is because more of Jareg's nature, past, personality etc i intend to cover in this one, though not to an extent of crippling the story with too much detail.

[Edited away due to my intent to submit a rewrite to various magazines (which almost unwaveringly wish for pieces to be unavailable elsewhere). If anyone wishes to read/re-read this piece then email/pm me and I will gladly send it.]
