I am inside the Goblin Horde Fortress, have found Braston and he's following me now. But there is one door to a room in the north wall that I can't open. I have tried everything I can think of. I've added every key to my party that exists in Dalekeeper II. I've upped my thief's lock-picking skill to 127, the max it allows, and leveled her up to 255, again, max allowed and that damn door still won't open. I went back to a previous saved game, fought my way through again and made sure the key found on the Old Orc was some generic key I had already added. I did notice that if I left the fortress to rest in the courtyard the key disappeared. Plus, that particular key doesn't show up in the inventory in Dalekeeper. It's just a blank slot when I open that saved game. So I tried comparing all of the global variables and I can't find anything that will make it so I can open that door. I finally just played the game again from that earlier point and still the door won't open. It's locked and my thief keeps failing to pick it.

Any suggestions? I am sure it's not important but it's really bugging me. I want to know what is behind that door!

Well, since Braston is already following you, you DID make it to the fortress proper. The only other locked door there is to a small side room with a trapped cupboard or something like that. But yes, strange that you can't get there.

Which door is this? I don't recall any difficult to open doors in that level.

But if all else fails, you could use the ctrl+J jump cheat to get into the room...

The problem is probably a bug anyway: If you fail to pick the lock, you'll either get a message "Lock Pick Failed", or a message making it clear that you need a key. If you keep failing despite it being 'pickable', then the door is bugged.
