[IMG] I have been curious about this for a long time. In my games of BG2 I often recieved them 'Target Appears Busy..." message when quite obviously they weren't busy. Back when I only had SoA installed I'd quicksave and load, or rest and I'd be able to initaiate the dialogue. After I istalled ToB again, this problem has become more prolific and the two solutions that I explained earlier don't work anymore. Can anyone explain a way to help me with this problem?

On a side note, I have a couple other things that have piqued my curiousity. First (which may be a problem), the pop-ups in game that ask whether or not I wan't to play SoA or ToB don't display the text that they should (and neither do the subsequent pop-ups after selection). Second (which is purely curiousity), why is it that on ToB whenever I change areas the protagonist gets a quick shroud of flames.

I had thought that I already had the patch, but maybe not. Possibly I had uninstalled it since then, or not gotten the ToB patch, thanks.

Yep, you should double-check the patch level. As I remember it, TOB run on anything past windows 98 will give the "so and so appears busy" message if not patched.

I believe that would be more fitting in the RBP.

Ah, the joys of random babbling...in posts, no less. Jokey posties undoubtedly take the cake, though.

    BlckDeth, you're spamming here. :nono:

On topic: Get the ToB patch to fix that busy problem. As for the others, are you playing with any mods?

I used to have this bug very frequently without the patch in Windows XP. A few quick saves and loads fixed it though. Once I got the patch, and Baldurdash fixes, and MANY mods, I never had this problem again, thankfully!

    @ Kuemp

Actually, I'm not. ChickenIsGood accidentally logged on as me and posted without noticing the difference. He logged in as himself and copied and pasted his original comment. I merely edited the post he had made into something random, because it looked funny :) Just thought I'd let you know.

Funny, none of the posts are editted. It may be funny, but it's still spam.

He did edit it, I've seen it a few times where I'll edit something I wrote, but it doesn't show... One of life's great mysteries.

I'm pretty sure these boards don't display edits if they are done within 10 minutes of posting the original post, for whatever that adds to the conversation....

I believe it's documented as a Windows XP issue, so it wouldn't have shown up before. There's nothing Baldurdash does which would address it, but I'm at something of a loss because running XP with the official patch I've never encountered the problem.
