can I change the attributes?

    Remove all ads!
    After a few level ups, I still can not find a way to change/improve the attributes(strength, dexterity, intelligence, wisdom, charm). Or can they be changed at all?

    Not in 2nd edition AD&D, I'm afraid. You can find items and things that raise them, but you can't increase them per level like you can in 3E.

    IWD2 uses 3rd edition AD&D so you can upgrade your attributes (every four levels).
    BGII uses AD&D 2nd edition so you can't.

    There are some items which grant a permanent increase in ability scores. Very rare potions and tomes can accomplish this, though they are plentiful in BG1, they are 'very' rare in IWD 1 (if you have HoW+ToTLM expansions), and non-existent in BG2. IWD2 has transfer potions though, which transfers one or more point from one attribute to another.

    Also, as Warrior of the World mentioned, some items confer bonuses or, more likely, set your ability to a high score, as long as they are equipped. Look for these items and use them!
