[IMG] I'm considering buying a laptop, one of the reasons for this is that I have a £150 off voucher but I'm only allowed the choice of the following

    1. Sony VGN-FJ1S/W
    2. HP DV4232ea
    3. Toshiba Satellite Pro M70-144

Which means with the voucher they would cost about £650, I mainly want the laptop to port my save games onto so that when I'm away from home i can still play my games.

So what would you recommend one of the above or something different (if different with a link if possible).

    Many Thanks
    DS

    Stay away from Sony.

I'd have to recomend the Toshiba Satellite Pro M70-144. For only £650, it seems like a very good low--mid range laptop. :rolling:

I agree with Kitrax on avoiding Sony.

The Sony laptops seem to be all about how cool they look, rather than what they can do.

Wow...Harby took the words right out of my mouth! Good job lad! :thumb:

Seriously, Sony is relying more on their "Sony Style" and secretly installing root kits on their computers than their actual performance. Take a look at a PC World's monthly ratings for Laptops. Dell is usually always on their lists (not for customer service though), but Toshiba, and HP are also usually on the top 10 lists. Toshiba usually scores higher than HP, and sometimes Dell too IIRC. :rolling:
