[IMG] OK, I have been trying my BG2 CDs in an internet cafe, to see if they are still working. Well they do work. I installed SoA first, and decided to try playing for a moment.

However, I got one pixel productions and G3 tweaks pack mods, as I love their graphic enchantments A LOT.

Anyway, I played for a test:there was no problem. Killed a few goblins even. Heh.

And then I installed ToB on top of SoA&mods to check if my ToB CD was still working.

It was working, and it installed pretty fast. However, when I entered the game, some weird things happened.

In the main screen where you choose between 'Shadows of Amn' or 'Throne of Bhaal', the logos are there, but the plates which have names appear blank. I did not bother, and started a ToB only game. Created a sorc. He started with NO items, only Amulet of Seldarine with a blank item history. (it did give bonuses though)

Talked to the statue, and it said nothing. Well, it said blank pages. Blank, no voicing. Then Illisera came, and she talked:again blank! I used Continue and 1 key to end the conversation. We fought. It was hard actually, to fight without a single item, but I killed her in the end. Black out and Solar greets me:again with blankness:no voicing, nothing, I push Continue and 1 occasionaly. Sarevok greets:BLANK! (not suprising, eh?) No voice. I push continue and 1 fast, dialogue ends. (I must have refused his offer)

    What is the cause?

1-I did not have the patch in my hurry!

2-I installed ToB on top of a modded SoA game.

3-Or...or...is my delicate ToB CD...is broken...and malfunctioning...that its dialogue files are bugged beyond repair!? :mommy: Please say it is not like that! (can it ever happen?) It had installed perfectly before!

I know I am being rather funny here, but I do not have time for reinstalling the game again to check. Do you have any idea as to my problem? It is due to my hastiness and lack of patch, or...is my ToB CD gone for good? :wail: What do you say?

[IMG] I'll take door number one, Chuck! The first time I checked out ToB (just as a test), I had the exact same problem, and it was solved when I got the patch.

And you would think I, as the mod-guru, should have known it already.... :o

    :p Whatever...

Now normally I would not do something like that, but I was in a hurry and in my over-excitement I did not really know what I was doing. And then I suspected if my CD was malfunctioning! (the fear! the fear! I can not find BG2 CDs anymore in Turkey, see my topic about my CDs)

So you say my ToB CD is well and sound!

Thank you very much Felinoid, you eased my mind, I will sleep comfortably tonight thanks to you. I owe you one!

I will uninstall this, this faulty abomination of game ASAP, don't worry. And my friend says he can make back up copies of my CDs, I am relieved!

EDIT:Umm, Fel, you first said it was number 2, then you edited it a little, then you said number 1...Or my eyes are playing eyes to me.
