    Here's an excerpt from Kotaku:

In Nagasaki over the weekend, two teenage brother brawled over a video game console, leaving one dead. Close to midnight, the siblings (13 years old and 15 years old) fought at home about putting away the video game console. The young brother kicked and punching his older brother repeatedly and knocked him unconscious. He died hours later at the hospital. A classmate was quoted as saying, “I didn’t think the relationship between the two brothers was bad.”

Yet an other case of a young asian individual dying due to a serious addiction of video games. These addictions occuring in Korea and Japan are getting way out of hand. Something serious is bound to happen if authorities there don't set some strong laws.

Eldular: This kind of thing could happen anywhere where there's consoles. No use sticking it to a certain location because more people play around there.

I'm sure there's lot of fighting over video games and suchamongst the young, this time it just ended sadly.
As well, it seems that these cases are getting more common. Perhaps we will be seeing fully planned murders over video games soon. Some people get more addicted than others, I must say.

On a game I used to play, someone was murdered. It was an MMORPG, and in a big event, a one-of-a-kind sword was given out. The guy let a friend borrow the sword, who promptly sold it.

Taza: Yes of course, happens here as well as europe or asia, but most of these cases occur in asian countries.

[IMG] Yep. Anyone could fall into a fight over a games console. In the street. With a katana. In small town Ireland . Most normal thing in the world.

Although to blame the violence on the games console would be ignoring that particular town's problems of chronic inbreeding, drug pushing, racism and bigotry. Good use of the RL Clan System though.
