Have any other experienced BG2 to just stop the game, and you're not able to do anything about it other than reboot your machine???
It only occurs in win2k, but due to my large amount of ram, I can't run win98

    my hardware is:
MSI K7T Pro 2-A (motherboard, VIA KT133 chipset based)
    amd thunderbird 900mhz
    1gb ram 133mhz
    alot of HD space
nvidia geforce 2 mx (or mmx, dont remember)
can anything else influence the game in this waY???

I trully think that the problem is with WIN2K. However, when my game on that OS got down sometimes, I was actually able to kill it with CTRL+ALT+DEL without restarting the machine.

Anyway, I never had that problem on WINNT 4.0 SP6a nor WIN98. Never tried on WINme though...
