Does anyone else remember the loading screen in BG2 where it said you'd be able to import your charcter into NWN?

    What happened to that?

If you think about it you'll know. I'm sure you can see that if you imported your character, the only thing you'd keep would be your name, and what would be the point in that?

Whilst I agree, I'm just wondering why they would have mentioned it if they weren't going to follow through.

Still, I think the BG series was wrapped up quite nicely and any continuation would be suspect at best.

They didn't have a full version of the 3e rules yet back then, and still thought that they could convert at least some attributes... But in the end it became pointless since there were changes in practically everything.

Plus, can't beat free advertisement for your next title by teasing customers in your best selling title at the time. Can't say I blame em.
