    I found the difference funny
    especially on the spell department
in bg1 you have fireball and youre killing everything and its a god spell lololol

    in bg2 its like
    fireball hhhhhmmmmmmmm boring its useless
    cast sunfire :)

    lol

    any big difference
    :)

I used fireball much more than sunfire in BG2 - particularly useful for clearing out a large bunch of goblins or other nasty vermin.

I liked the way that the majority of the plot focused on Athkatla, whereas Bladur's Gate seemed more like a brief stop off, which made it hard to take in everything about it.

[It's amazing Big B - short casting time, and all cats in the area suddenly choke :D)

I haven't finished BG1 yet but I would say that it's fun to go back and see BG1 after playing BG2, because you get to see how it all started. Oh yeah the "furball" spell is great isn't it ;)

The fireball spell was extremely useful in BG1. I only played it trough once but i found i really fun i think it was freer than BG2. But i really rushed trought the game and didnt see half of it i think.
I like BG2 better because its more fun to kill a dragon with a finger of death spell than a couple of ogre with an +1 longsword

Christian, could you drop the "lol" etc. in your posts? It's annoying and distracting. Thanks.

i liked baldurs gate 1 freedom a lot better in 2 you have to go here to there and so on. if they make a three they should combine them both so i coul go to beregost. they should also let you pick a certain race of an(example) elf like a drow and have pluses and minuses. that dragon guy are you a moderater. let her type her (lol) its not that annoying just read over. Damn you guys are picky

No, that's just friendly advice not to use it more than once in one post... And not to stretch it like an accordion.

Oh, and Parvini, the name's Taluntain (Tal for short). You have a few hours to edit it and spell it right, but if you don't by the time I come check again, I'll change your name to something else too, but permanently. (How does Porkvini sound?) ;)
You've already been warned the first time you spelled it wrong.

fireball in BG2 is the best way to get rid of those Tanovas and vamps....

never really used magic in BG1... was several years younger and hack and slash seemed like so much more fun...

but u know what... I would prefer it if the NPCs were smarter in walking around.... i mean.. they really take the longest way around to a place and sometimes dont even end up there... and its esp ur last 2 NPCs!!
