Best long sword and shield setup?

    In your opinions, what do you think makes the best sword and shield set up for somebody like Alistair?

    Depends on the type of sword/shield character you are building. If you are building one that is going with a high MR than you want a shield that provides MR or if you want one that improves stamina regen or another skill/abilitiy you have to pick the shield that is best for what you are building.

    As for sword, the Meteor Sword is the best long sword in the game and the second best is one that you obtain in Denerim from killing the G'Knax or however it is spelled.
