does anyone know the stats on beholder's skin? I want to make some armor out of it.

Man, Beholder skin armour would be cool! The beholder gets +11 natural armour so its ac bonus should be great, it should perhaps also give the wearer the ability to fly/levitate (as a beholder). It could also grant defence against beholder attacks and maybe even make an antimagic field (like the Beholder's eye does).

You would have to consult with your DM in order to determine what it would do. If you are the DM then it is up to you.

[IMG] a leather with some natural armor class sounds logic if you ask me, but as Baldak says, it's DM decision. Need someone to make it though.

Skin of a beholder.. yuk :)

Thisis too easy to just say Let the DM decide :p

So does a dead beholder float? Hardly something most DM's would do. The hoovering ability is in my opinion part of the beholder's mind not skin.

Antimagic field? hmmm. If this ability is from the eye as you say, then it isn't from the skin.

I'll agree on the AC :) It would be natural to pick the Base AC of the Beholder since not much Dexterity are put into that cathegory.

Let the DM figure out the practical problems. It is his world.

If it still looks like a beholderskin, I'd add a little bonus to Intimidate checks (+1 or +2), for a person wearing an armor made of beholderskin is fearsome indeed!
