My level 9 duel wielding ( 1+ battleaxes) with decent armor, hasted, blessed, and raged, is getting his *ss handed to him. I mean its not even close. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

    Stoneskin and Improved Invisibility
bull strength and cats grace are good too

also, equip a variety of weapons as some of the monsters you will face take more damage from certain weapons (i.e. the drowned dead take full damage and 5 extra points of damage from the sure striking short sword). Also, the moonblade if you have it will work on some enemies that your +1 weapons will not hit.

Since you do not have to complete the "levels" in any order I would suggest doing level 6 first to get the club of disruption and then doing level 10 to get the short sword +5.

Again, stoneskin and improved invisibility are almost a must, if you currently don't have them I would suggest moving onto the Fell Wood and the Cold Marshes, and then coming back once you can use both spells.

I hear as you get to higher levels (figure, 10+), it's better to wield a two-handed weapon than dual-wield.

I don't truely know. All my people are level 30, dual wielding some +5 longswords. :)

On a related side note, the firestorm spell is *MOST* effective...

[IMG] You do realize that you have to fight (3+4+5+6+7)=25 monsters for each of the 10 ranks, with a single PC, to finish the battle square.. 250 battles!!

You can also imagine how much my left little finger hurt after hitting 250 times ctrl-Y !!!!
    :D
