    Quick Question: If a character has a strength of 25, can he bash through any lock that he comes across?

    Quick answer: No.

    There once was this pickable lock in Saradush that Sir Anomen couldn't bash open even while wielding Crom Faeyr. Then Immy went and picked it open. Brute force amounts to nothing.

    Strength 25 is equivalent to 80 points in Open Locks skill.

    IIRC even in Irenicus' dungeon there are some locks over 80% difficulty. (i'm not sure though it might be trap's diffuculty too, because i've once tried a thief with 80% in pick locks and find traps, he wasn't successful and i restarted with %100)
