[IMG] I am playing BG2 with a bard. I have 1 thing to say: They rock! They are part thief, part wizard and part party-helpers. To all those people that are playing BG2, I say : Use a bard! I think that the Skald kit is the best kit. By the way, how do you get 15000 GP quickly?? :-O(=)
(BTW, that face is a bard with a harp.)

    Cool.

Where are you now with your bard? Are you very far in the game?

Give more details about your game and how your caracter is going through everything? I never played a bard caracter.

I always liked them in Pen and Paper and was always laughed at, but I always enjoyed to roleplay that non-serious type of character who made the ladies smile and flutter their eyes! LOL!

They're fun to play, although I don't know how good they are in BG2. The Blade sound interesting.

I thought the blade sounded cool too. What spell level are bards able to cast up to (not using xp cap)?

    6th, I think.

The skald bard song looks impressive on paper. But I will probably get sick of this game before I've tried all the "interesting" classes.

I think there should be at least one NPC for every kit, I started playing as a fighter, got bored and started again as a Monk, quite fun. Phcho Bob (The BG char who I used 3 times through) is now deceased, I will use the monk Phycho Bob in NWN when my PC is up to scratch.

That would take up a lot more space if all the characters could have the same kind of interaction and dialogue as the existing ones. They would have to make the characters flatter and less interesting. More like BG 1.

How much code does it take to add more dialog?
I wouldn't think very much once the backbone is in place. Just have to figure out the timing and party parameters so that the dialog works.

BTW this is one part of the game that could have used a bit of refinement. I hated having my heart to heart conversations with Jahiera about 2 seconds before I was going to storm in on a group of bad guys.

    [IMG] Yeah, I know.

    Minsc: Autopause: Enemy sighted.
    (Maudlin music starts.)
Aerie: Do you think I'm ugly?
Me: Ummm, I'm about to be attacked by an Adamantite Golem here! Get back to me later. ARRRRGH!

Just think of Aerie as the female version of noober from bg1. its just to bad shes the most useful cleric/mage in the game (unless your main char is one) because no matter what you do she doesnt really care, especially before fighting drizzt. Jahiera leaves, Keldorn will attack you. Viconia will praise you.

With Viconia around, who needs Jaheira and Aerie. Jaheira's fun to keep around so you can keep taunting her about Khalid though.

  15. Yea, taunting Jaheira is great fun. In Irenicus' prison, when she ask where Khalid is, I couldn't resist saying, "0h, he's probably found a nice table to hide under somewhere".

Oh shit, I've just realised, that'll be why she hasn't slept with me yet. Woops ;) .
