AFAIK Balor has %90 MR, and should need +3 weapons to be hit. Don'T think it requires +4, not sure though.

YOu should cast Protection from Evil on evrybody (or better, Pfrom Evil 10' if you have the spell), summon a lot, and buff your fighters:Haste, bless, prayer, every little bonus helps. If your fighters don't have any +3 weapon (don'T you even have, say, Lilarcor?) they are useless though. Free Action is essential if the monster helds you. Don't remember if the demon has natural fear aura, but better cast Remove Fair before actually finding out.

Some good summons can bait the demon, like Fire Elementals, Skeleton Warriors, Mordy Swords etc.

Try spell that bypasses MR, Bolt of Glory will do massive damage to the beast. Chromatic orb will also bypass MR in unpatched games so you can abuse it too! It has a %10 chance of failing the save vs spells and die. Or launch lots of Magic Misiles and pray that they will hit. OR lower its resistance to magic via Lower Resistance, you should at least have that spell! Then bombard it with MMisiles.

Tell us a little about your party/level/items/spells so we can offer further and more precise advice. ;)

I managed to do it. i buffed my party and went in but i was still battling. then i cast dispel magic and it removed most of my players buffs but it also made the balor easier. do know why cause it never cast any spells. weird.
