I) I've found this bag some time ago, which gave me a random item each day... Can I get anything good in that bag at all ? Magic items for example.

II) On a shop list I found on this site, a gem bag was mentioned, I've never seend one of those, and I cannot buy them. Does it excist ??

 

The gam bag was only added in HoW if you are not playing with the expansion it's not in your game. If you do have HoW installed you can buy it at the general store (I forget the owner name) and the scroll case from Orick in the tower.

The other bag is totally random you can get anything in the game.

 

I've only played with the bag a little bit but so far I've gotten things like a dagger +1, arrows, throwing knives, a healing potion, and a dead cat. Nothing much to shout about. Maybe you can get some great magic items but I haven't seen any yet.

So, can I use dead cat for something? Stew maybe?
Would anyone buy it?

 

You can use it along with a black box to start an intelligent discussion with your mage
But seriously, no, there is no use for the dead cat.

The cat is worthless.

I got grease and flame arrow scrolls from the bag, both needed for my secondary arcane caster, since I only found one exemplar of each spell scroll in the rest of the game.

 

I once got '20' oil of speeds out of that bag, ALL at once! That was SOMETHING!

Ofcourse then I realised all were 'cursed' (those with odd colors)

So the bag is worthless but fun tool!

 

I never got that bag in my game. Actually, in terms of random items I always had bad luck. People spoke wonders about this bag and the elven chainmail. The former one I didn't even knew that it existed!
