I have 2 dualed fighters, both done at level 2. Shahara (str 18/71) is a F/D with * in small swords and missile weapons. She gets 3 attacks/round with darts and 1 attk/rd with Dagger of Venom. Tamara (str 18/20) is a F/M with 2* in large sword and long bow. She gets 1 1/2 attk/rd with Spider's Bane and 2 attk/rd with the Longbow of Markmanship.

Is it the proficiency points affecting how many attacks per round? Or their puny fighter levels? Both?

Both. your F/M gets 1/2 extra attack for the two stars in longsword, and has 1 attack based on her lvl. Regarding the darts/dagger, then darts always grant 1 or 2 extra attacks/round (cannot remember exactly). The Long bow of Marmanship, iirc, sets attack to 2/rnd (not sure though). .

Yeah, all bows do that. But she should still be getting 2-1/2 attacks per round with her bow due to having ** in bows. :skeptic:

The F->D is pretty simple since she's not getting any bonuses. Level kicks in at 7th for a warrior, and with only * in her proficiencies, there's nothing there either. Darts have a default of 3 per round and that's all.

    @ Felinoid

I believe that it sets the flat value attack/rnd, meaning that prof's wouldn't do squat seeing as it overrides anything else which alters att/rnd, and as such you would end up with only 2 attacks/rnd (no matter what). At least I think this is the case for the BG2 version of the weapon (though it is stupid).

Yes, they all set it to a flat value, BG1 or BG2. The effect is the same for each and every bow (and dart, and crossbow, and every other missile weapon) in both games. But levels and proficiencies add on top of that. It doesn't seem like it should, given the effect, but it does; just a quirk of missile weapons in the engine, I suppose. *shrug*

Will the attacks increase when I put another * in the appropriate weapon? My druid will get another * in small swords. She's one of my tanks and getting her more att/rd would really help in melee.

Yes it would, but you can't. You can only do that as a warrior; now that you've dualled, you're stuck with one * apiece for whatever else you give her. Next time, plan ahead for your duallers. :bad:
