Bruno Bonnell has resigned as Atari CEO and has been replaced with James Caparro, who has a long and impressive track record in the music business. Bonnell is appreciative of Caparro's nomination and himself remains the chairman and chief officer of the company, concentrating on strategic planning. Also, he still holds the post of CEO and chairman in Atari's parent company, the France-based Infogrames. Here's an excerpt from the article at GamesIndustry.biz:

Publisher Atari Inc has named former music industry executive James Caparro as its new president and chief executive officer, after Bruno Bonnell stepped aside from the CEO role at the company.

Outspoken industry veteran Bonnell remains chairman and chief creative officer of Atari Inc, and will be focusing on overseeing the firm's planning for "the next stages of technological advancement in gaming," according to a statement issued last night.
