Assertion Error? WTF?

    OK, I have a problem. I recently got a new computer, and I decided to install BGI onto the new computer. I did a full install, and then downloaded the patch. After I insert the CD, the startup menu comes up as normal, but when I click the "play" button, I get the following message:

    Assertion Error: An error occured in sector 350. (I think it's 350, the number may be off slightly.) Anyway, the only thing I can do at this point, is click "OK" which takes my back out to the desktop. What's up with this?

    There used to be a list of error messages and their explanations on the BioWare website... You might want to check there, though I don't recall the URL offhand (aside from http://www.BioWare.com ). :)
