Bathed in Blood was the best my party used. There was another with -3 AC but it was cursed; I think it lowered your HP, reduced resistances and hid your current hit points from you. Useful- if you don't want to know how close you are to death. :D

As far as hard challenges, of course... but you're nearly done.

Mithril Field Plate Armor +2 was very nice before the expansion. It was treated as nonmagical so you could wear a Ring of Protection +2 with it.

I think that was about the best suit to be found on my travels too. There are also some very nifty shields 2 +4 a/c and 1 +3 from memory. Should sort out the fighters in your party.

The Crystal Tower has 2 battles. I found the hardest part was trying to keep the mages in my party alive during the first of the two. Your fighters will have sufficient ac by now without any better armour.

For both battles stock up the protection and defensive spells + haste.

I found the end to be surprisingly easy compared to BG which had me troubled many times over. (Haven't got anywhere near that far in BG2 so can't comment on that one).

    Happy fighting!

    :)

don't recall any better armor in the game.

as for the finals, wear rubber boots and then have patience with spells.
